Cricket is a high performance, extremely flexible system for monitoring trends in time-series data developed by Jeff Allen of WebTV Networks. Cricket was expressly developed to help network managers visualize and understand the traffic on their networks, but it can be used all kinds of other jobs, as well.

Cricket utilizes Tobias Oetiker's way cool RRD, without which Cricket would probably never have been possible.

This is not a distribution point for Cricket, the latest version can be found at Jeff Allen's Cricket Website.

What it is, is a place where people can find some of the nifty contributed software in once place. Everything from some sample config trees to scripts which automatically generate a config tree for Cisco routers.

PLEASE NOTE: Certainty Solutions is only providing a repository for these items, we do not support them. When possible we will include the authors email address and he/she may have the time to answer a quick question, but for the most part, you are on your own here.

If you have a sample config tree, or one that you feel would be a good starting point for someone, or maybe you've written some slick scripts or extensions to Cricket, just email them to us at cricket-contrib@certaintysolutions.com. The only things we ask is that they be tested, well commented, and include a README file and a one line description for the web page.

We will post them on the site as quickly as we can, but occasionally work may get in the way and it might take us a few days to get your contribution posted.
