REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Jan. 17, 2001 - Certainty Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of comprehensive infrastructure management services, today announced that it has been selected by The Gillette Company (NYSE: G) to provide managed services for the company's entire global hosting environment.

Under the terms of the contract, Certainty will provide systems monitoring, hardware and systems architecture support, managed network services and technical account management for Web sites associated with all of Gillette's global brands. Certainty's team of engineers will review Gillette's current NT operating environment documentation and Web site architecture, making and implementing recommendations designed to enhance site performance, manageability, scalability and security. In addition, Certainty's Vienna, Va.-based engineering team will provide both remote and live management of Gillette's equipment, which is located at a Northern Va.-based data center.
